Lives of Kashmiri inmates in Amphala jail Jammu in grave danger: JKLF

The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Wednesday claimed that the lives of Kashmiri inmates were in grave danger at Amphala Jail Jammu.

A spokesman said the relatives of two prisoners, Muhammad Ishaaq Palla of Shopian and Ubaid Untoo of Sopore, visited JKLF office and said that both the inmates along with others were “living a worried life as their lives are in a constant danger.”

Pala is on a hunger strike inside the Amphala jail as the authorities were not producing him before the court under the pretext of security and other bogus reasons, said the spokesman. “His old-age ailing mother is also unable to meet him from last eight months,” the spokesperson said.

He said the family of another Kashmiri inmate Ubaid Untoo told JKLF that Untoo was attacked in Amphala Jail by some fanatics who beat him ruthlessly and caused him grave injuries.
