Srinagar, Jan 9: Mother of former DIG and CEO JKCA Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari died after protracted illness at her residence in Shivpora Srinagar on Sunday evening.
Quoting a close relative, news agency GNS reported that Jawahira Begum, in her 80s, was bed ridden for a considerable period and breathed her last on Sunday evening.
As per family sources, nimaz jinazah of the deceased will be offered at 2 pm today at her ancestral village at Shah Mohalle Drugmula in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
