PDD daily wager from Bijbehara dies 10 days after electrocution

Srinagar June 4:A daily wager of Power Development Department (PDD) succumbed to injuries at SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Friday ten days after electrocution at Tulkhan village of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

News agency KNO while quoting an official reported that Ashiq Hussain, son of Mohammad Subhan Khan of Waghama Bijbehara received an electric shock when he came in contact with a live wire in Tulkhan locality while repairing HT line on May 25.

   

Ashiq was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara from where he was shifted to GMC Anantnag where doctors referred him to SKIMS in serious condition.

The official said that Ashiq succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS on Friday afternoon.
