Srinagar, Nov 22: Scores of former J&K SRTC employees Monday said that they were awaiting retirement benefits.
In a statement issued here, All J&K Retired Employees Union said that scores of ex-employees of J&K SRTC who retired in mid-2019 were awaiting post-retirement benefits like leave salary.
The statement said that they had been deprived of these benefits since June 2019.
“Despite repeated requests, authorities of J&K SRTC have turned deaf towards our demand. We are at the stage of starvation. We appeal Lieutenant Governor Majoj Sinha to intervene so that our families do not suffer anymore,” the statement said.
“We are over 150 employees and we hope that the government will look at the issue and resolve it,” a former SRTC employee said.
