Sangrama voted to end traffic jams, avail better healthcare facilities

With people coming in good numbers to exercise their franchise during the third phase of DDC elections in Sangrama DDC constituency, the voters here believe that their vote this time is purely for the betterment of the area.

Ajaz Ahmad, a young voter after casting his vote at Government Boys Middle School Sangrama said that he casted his vote solely to get rid off the frequent Traffic Jam at Sangrama crossing which has been the biggest nuisance for the area.

   

“As a young voter, problems like traffic jam at Sangrama is a major issue not only for the local population  but for all those who travel through the area. I believe the elected DDC candidate will put all his efforts in solving this problem,” said Ajaz Ahmad.

The people here believe that the DDC election has potential to bring change in terms of development and prosperity. Most of the voters who are associated with the fruit business said that for them the biggest issue is rampant use of spurious pesticides.

“Our economy entirely depends on fruit industry which has been ruined because of use of sub-standard pesticides. I voted for the candidate who is well versed with the issues of fruit growers and understands our concern. I hope he will play his role in eradicating this harmful practice,” said Mushtaq Ahmad, a voter from Wogub Sangrama.

Bashir Ahmad, a voter from Nowpora Sangrama has pinned his hopes on the DDC elections for the overall development of the area. “It is our right to have a better healthcare and other facilities like other modern towns. Some of the candidates in fray from Sangrama constituency are connected with the people and know our issues better.” Added Bashir.

In Sangrama DDC constituency there are 13 candidates in fray. Among them 9 are independent candidates while four represent PAGD alliance, BJP, Congress and Apni Party.
