Government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Sugan village of Shopian district Tuesday morning.
A police official told Greater Kashmir that a joint team of army, SOG and Central Reserved Police Force personnel cordoned the village and began a door to door search operation following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The operation, according to the official, was called off as no militant was found in the area.
