Residents of Hilalabad-Trangpora in Sumbal area of Bandipora districts Sunday appealed authorities to shift 11-KV electric line which passes through seven residential houses in the area.
A delegation of residents said that 11-KV electric line isdangerous and poses a threat to the residents and their families. “If justthree electric poles are re-adjusted, the line will by-pass the residentialhouses thus reducing the danger to us. We have already brought it into thenotice of the concerned authorities, but so-far they have not taken anydecision over it,” they said.
Appealing the Chief Engineer Power Development Department(PDD), Superintend Engineer PDD and sub-divisional magistrate Sumbal, to issueorders to the concerned authorities to shift the electric line in the area,they said, “If the line is not shifted, there is apprehension of a mishapsomeday and responsibility for that would lie on PDD authorities.”
