Three south Kashmir residents arrested with arms in Budgam: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three persons along with arms and ammunition in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

An official said that Budgam police and army in a joint raid arrested three persons after working on an input in the district.

   

“Incriminating material including but not limited to three pistols, four magazines and twelve rounds” were seized from the trio, he said.

Those arrested were identified as Faizan-ul-Zaman Bhat s/o Gh Qadir Bhat R/o Kandipora Bijhbehra, Sajad Ah Dar S/o Gh Rasool Dar R/O Samboora Pulwama and Miaser Ahmad Dar S/o Maushtaq AH Dar R/o Samboora Pulwama, said the official.

“The timely arrest of these individuals has prevented commission of a serious crime,” he said, adding that the vehicle used by the trio was also seized.

“Police has registered a case and investigation is in progress to unearth the whole chain of conspiracy leading to this incident.

Preliminary investigation has established these individuals’ complicity in the crime,” said the official.
