UN Women (India) hails abolition of stamp duty for females

The UN Women (India) has appreciated J&K government’s decision to abolish stamp duty on sale of property registered in the name of females.

“@unwomenindia acknowledges the positive measure taken by the J&K Government to abolish stamp duty on the sale of #property registered in the name of #females. Huge step towards #women’s #empowerment! @MehboobaMufti,” The UN Women (India) tweeted on its official page on Saturday, day after the government decided to abolish the stamp duty.
