Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, BRS MP, several others join BJP

Srinagar, Feb 29: Pothuganti Ramulu, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP from Nagarkurnool constituency along with his supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.

An official press release of the BJP said that Telangana BRS MP Pothuganti Ramulu (Nagarkurnool Constituency), BRS youth leader Bharat Prasad, R Lok Nath Reddy (Chairman of District Council), Jakka Raghunandan Reddy (Director of DCCB) and Ventapalli Purushotham Reddy (Former State President Sarpanch Association, Telangana) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

   

The joining was done in the presence of parliamentary board Member K Lakshman, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, National Vice-President DK Aruna, Tamil Nadu co-incharge K Sudhakar Reddy, Union MoS Rajeev Chandrashekhar and BJP National Spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said that it was the courtesy of party’s growing influence across the country.

Chugh said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, significant strides have been made in fighting poverty.

He said that 14 crore poor households now have access to clean drinking water and four-crore poor people are sleeping under solid roofs.

Union MoS Rajeev Chandrashekhar Rajeev Chandrashekhar extended a warm welcome to all the BRS leaders who joined the party.

Chandrashekhar praised the vision and dedication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his willingness to contribute towards realizing the goal of a developed India.
