J&K Apni Party retains ‘Bat’ symbol ahead of General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024

Srinagar, March 03: The Election Commission of India on Wednesday decided to give the ‘Bat’ logo back to the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, withdrawing the ‘Hockey and Ball’ symbol that was given by the chief election body to Apni Party earlier.

In a letter to the Chief Election Officer of J&K,  the Election Commission of India said that it has withdrawn the ‘Bat’ symbol given to the Sanyogwadi Party for the General Election of Lok Sabha 2024.

   

It said that it is also withdrawing the ‘Hockey and Ball’ symbol from the Apni Party and is allotting them the ‘Bat’ symbol for the upcoming elections in the Union Territory.

Further it mentioned that the symbol is allotted only for the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024 and that the further use of the ‘common symbol’ by the party is not allowed.
