MeT predicts light rain, snow on Thursday in higher reaches of J&K

Srinagar, Nov 21: The Meteorological Department (MeT) has predicted light rain and snow in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

The local weather station said that weather is currently mainly clear to partly at most places of J&K and has predicted dry weather till 22nd November.

   

“23rd November: Generally cloudy with Light Rain/snow at isolated higher reaches.24th-26th November: Generally dry weather. 27th-30th November: Generally cloudy with Light Rain/Snow at isolated higher reaches,” said the MeT in a statement.

It said that overall no significant weather activity is expected till ending November.

Regarding the temperature recorded at various places, the MeT said that dip in minimum temperature is observed over all stations of Kashmir division with lowest minimum temperature over Konibal (-4.4°C), Pahalgam (-2.9°C), Gulmarg(-0.6°C), Kupwara (-0.8°C), Qazigund (-0.8°C), Banihal (2.8°C) and Srinagar (-1.2°C)

The  weatherman also said that shallow to moderate fog likely to continue till 27th November over many places of Kashmir division.
