Srinagar, Feb 29: Authorities on Thursday said that amid single lane and poor surface of the road at Dalwas, Mehad-Cafeteria, Gangroo, Hingni, Kishtwari Pather etc, the management has decided to allow only one-way traffic along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway tomorrow (Friday).

The J&K Traffic police in an official communique said that subject to fair weather and good road condition, only one-way traffic shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu.

It said the Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) shall be allowed from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) from 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs., thereafter Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) shall be allowed upto 1800 hrs.

It warned that no vehicle would be allowed after the cut-off timing.

It advised security forces to not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

Further, the authorities requested people to prefer the day journey over the night as there is high possibility of shooting stones between Banihal and Ramban,
