Srinagar, Jan 30: Police on Tuesday observed a two-minute silence across the J&K in the remembrance of the supreme sacrifices by freedom fighters, police’s spokesperson said in a communique.
At police headquarters Jammu, the chief of force, DGP R.R Swain himself led his officers and personnel, together observing the respect for those who died in the struggle for their country’s freedom.

ADGP Armed J&K Shri S.J.M Gillani, ADGP (Headquarters) PHQ Shri M.K Sinha, ADGP Law & Order Shri Vijay Kumar, IGP Armed Jammu Shri M.N Tiwari, IGP (Hqrs) PHQ Shri B.S Tuti, AIsG of Police Headquarters, senior officers of Armed Police headquarters, / Telecommunication, staff members of the complex attended the ceremony.
“The day was observed at all wings, units of Jammu and Kashmir Police wherein concerned police heads led the officers and Jawans to observe two-minute silence in the memory of those who laid down their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom,” concluded the spokesperson.
