Police vow stern action against miscreants for disrespecting shrine, mosque in Tral

Srinagar, Apr 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Police issued a stern warning on Friday, asserting that individuals involved in disrespecting the local shrine and mosque in Dadsara Tral, located in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, will face severe consequences.

In a statement, the police said that those responsible for instigating or facilitating such criminal acts, aimed at disturbing peace by disrespecting highly revered symbols, will not only be subjected to legal action but also stripped of all government benefits, employment, licenses, and permits.

   

According to a police spokesperson, on the night of April 25, some miscreants attempted to disrespect the local shrine and mosque in Dadsara, Tral, by damaging windowpanes and attempting to displace the holy Quran in a disrespectful manner. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law in this regard.

The police suspect that the vandalism was carried out to incite trouble and disrupt peace and order in the region. They assured citizens that a rigorous hunt has been initiated to apprehend the perpetrators and those behind them.

The statement emphasized, “They will be dealt with the heavy hand under the law. Besides being put behind bars, all others who have instigated or facilitated such criminals with the motive of disturbing peace by misusing the highly revered symbols of almighty too will lose all government benefits, government employment, licences and permits. The full force of the entire government shall be used to detect and punish the perpetrators.”
