88K farmers to receive Nidhi scheme benefits in Budgam

Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Syed Sehrish Asgar Friday visited various agricultural and tehsil offices in Budgam to take stock of the ongoing farmers’ data collection and its computerisedupdation for PM- KisanSammanNidhi scheme benefits across the district.

During her visit to Agriculture Office Naraspora and SDM office Khansaheb, DC directed the BDOs to arrange additional computer operators and extra laptops and computers to expedite computerization process of the data.

   

She stressed that data should be collected from farmers expeditiously and directed Patwaris to register genuine farmers only after proper verification.

Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam who accompanied the DDC during the visit to different data collection centers said that as per the latest data (tentative) available there were 88275 of farm operating families (FOF) registered with the department to receive the benefits.

The DC stressed upon concerned to generate massive awareness about the scheme among people through Gram Sabhas and other programmes so that no genuine farmer family is left out of the scheme.
