Two alleged fraudsters were nabbed by locals of Seri village here on Monday.
The accused were handed over to police by locals. Locals of Seri said the two men, posing as goldsmiths, tried to trick local women into exchange their old gold ornaments with new ones.
However, women got suspicious and raised an alarm attracting the attention of nearby people who nabbed the duo.
Both the accused were later handed over to police. The case has been registered in the incident, said a police official from Ramban police station.
He identified the accused as Kundan Kumar and Pankaj Kumar, both from Bihar.
