Kishtwar areas reeling under water, power crisis

The areas of Kishtwar like Palmar, Keshwan, Thakrai, Chatroo, Padder and others have been reeling under water and power crisis since the past around 2 months with people claiming that the concerned authorities have done nothing to solve the problem despite repeated requests.  

The people urged the administration to provide regular power and water supply.

   

“We apprised the concerned authorities about the problem several times but till date nothing has been done and many areas continue to face water and power shortage,” said a local resident of Kishtwar. 

Several people from Palmar also told Greater Kashmir that they are facing severe water and power crisis and demanded from the concerned authorities that power be supplied for at least ten hours a day,” they said adding that summers are approaching and things are not set right, their problems will increase manifold.

“We will hold protest against the government and the district administration, if water and power is not supplied regularly,” the people warned.
