People from Darhal staged a protest demonstration at district headquarter and highlighted their demand for a Government Degree College on Monday.
Under ‘Rajouri Chalo’ protest call by Joint Action Committee Darhal, hundreds of people reached the town and took out a protest rally, which started from Dak Bungalow and ended at DC Office Complex.
Convenor of JAC Darhal Advocate Zahid Malik was heading the protest, while several political leaders, including Liyaqit Chowdhary and Mohammed Iqbal Malik also attended the rally.
Protesters raised slogans against the state government and demanded a government degree college for their area. Later they met DC Rajouri and appraised him about their demand. The DC assured them that their demand has already been taken up with the government.
