‘Bemina has become a garbage dump’

We, the residents of Bemina, want to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the problems faced by us due to lack of garbage bins in our area. Heaps of garbage have been dumped near the office of the Department of Economics and Statistics. Resultantly, the spot has become a breeding haven for the dogs. The canines make it almost impossible for us to venture out of our homes. The rancid smell near the garbage site is making it difficult for the pedestrians to walk across the area.

We request the authorities to look into the matter and resolve our issue at the earliest so the inhabitants could heave a sigh of relief.

Delay in construction of receiving station at Pahroo

We, the residents of Pahroo, want to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities that the construction of the receiving station in the areas like Pahroo and Gangipora has been pending.

People were happy that Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has now intervened in this matter and it will be constructed within the stipulated time. Unfortunately, the work has not been taken seriously. As per the record, this project must have been on the verge of completion. However, it is still at its preliminary stage. Now, we appeal to the DC Budgam and the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take up this project on a priority basis.

Water bodies converted into garbage dumping sites

The rivers, lakes, and other water bodies have become dumping sites in Kashmir. The canals of the different water bodies get blocked due to the continuous dumping of garbage in them. This causes a huge problem for the people living near these water bodies. We request the concerned authorities to take immediate steps in this regards and initiate the cleaning of these water bodies. We also request the concerned authorities to take legal action against those involved in polluting these water bodies.
