National health mission (NHM) employees, working with the health department, continued to sit in protest for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, here at district headquarter town of Rajouri district.
Pertinently, the protest was supposed to end on Tuesday evening, as per the earlier call, but it was decided to extend it further for two days, till Thursday evening.
Ujwal Sharma, chief spokesman of the district body of national health mission, said, “The protest entered the third day on Wednesday and all the employees of national health mission are sitting in protest, under the leadership of the district president of the body.”
He added, “The authorities are ignoring our genuine demands and we have been deprived of our basic rights.”
He appealed to the Governor’s administration to resolve their issues at an earliest.
