DGP grants scholarship for 10 wards of slain police personnel

Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh on Tuesday granted scholarship of in favour of ten wards of police personnel, who laid down their lives in militancy related incidents in the state.

As per a release, Rs 12000 have been sanctioned for a ward who is pursuing engineering and Rs 10000 each have been sanctioned for seven wards studying in graduation level courses. Similarly, Rs 2400 each have been sanctioned for two wards of a slain police personnel studying in class 2nd and 4th primary.

   

The amount has been sanctioned out of central police education fund for the academic year 2017-2018. The scholarships are granted every year for the school going children of police martyrs to provide them assistance in pursuing education.
