JU cancels English exam after ‘paper leak’

In another shocking report of ‘paper leak’, Jammu University (JU) announced cancellation of exam of English paper of final year for all undergraduate courses, which was scheduled to be held on Monday. 

 As per sources ,following purported leakage of the question paper, Jammu University has ordered postponement of English B, Part 3rd ( Annual pattern)  examination.

   

“The paper was postponed for now and fresh date for the postponed examination shall be notified separately while rest of the exams shall be held as per notified date sheet,” said an official spokesperson of the Jammu University.

Sources revealed that a high level committee has been framed to investigation the matter.

Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) also rescheduled the examination date of English subject of the Higher Secondary Examination Part-II, (12th Class) for winter zone, Jammu division, which was earlier postponed on March 24.

“The paper was postponed after board came to know about some suspicious activity and doubt that it may be leak before reaching to the students,” Veena Pandita, in-charge chairperson JKBOSE told Greater Kashmir.

“The examination date of the  paper is rescheduled and will  be conducted on April 12, amid full scrutiny” she added.

The paper leak has become burning topic in recent days especially following the CBSE and SSC leaks, which put future of over 14 lakhs students at stake.
