Senior National Conference leader Mian Altaf on Sunday released Choudhary Iqbal Zaffar’s Gojri book “Majboori” here.
Mian Altaf, who was chief guest on the occasion, askedyoungsters to write good literature in the Gojri language and appreciated Adbi Sangatfor its efforts towards promotion of the Gojri culture.
“Holding such events go a long away in promoting Gojrilanguage, literature and culture and inspire the young writers to write betterliterature on the subject,” he added.
Mian Altaf Ahmed appreciated Choudhray Zafar Iqbal of Killar Pulwama for his outstanding contributions to Gojritheatre and play writing genre . He stated that the plays included in the bookreflect cultural heritage and ethos of tribal society, besides it enriches Gojri languages as well. He saidthat Gojri is an important language of the state and a lot of literature isavailable in the language. He impressed upon Govt especially State Board ofSchool Education to include Gojri languagein schools curriculum in 11th and 12th as one of the languages of the statelike Kashmir , Dogri and Ladakhi.
