Advisor Kumar, CS review Yatra arrangements at Pahalgam

Top officials from State Government and Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) on Friday reviewed arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra via Pahalgam route.

Besides Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar and ChiefSecretary BVR Subramanyam, the CEO SASB, Umang Narula, Director General ofPolice Dilbag Singh, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, IGPKashmir SP Pani, District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Khalid Jahangirreviewed the arrangements at a marathon meeting.

   

The meeting was also attended by IG CRPF, DIG CRPF, SSPAnantnag, Director Health Services Kashmir, Chief Engineers of PDD, PHE,R&B, RTO Kashmir, Labour Commissioner, Deputy CEO, SASB and other districtofficers from departments concerned.

The Advisor urged the officers to work with synergy toensure successful and smooth conduct of Yatra. He also directed for upgradingmedical facilities like availability of sufficient ambulances, adequate supplyof medicines, life-saving drugs and portable oxygen cylinders, hypo bags,structures.

The Advisor also directed to put in place a mechanism toensure quality control of all services including langer services, bedding, tentservices and other services for the Yatris.

The Chief Secretary directed DC Anantnag, LabourCommissioner and Deputy CEO SASB to issue unified bar-coded passes to employeesdeployed on duty, to labours, Pithoos, Dandiwallas, ponywallas and the DeputyCEO SASB will issue unique passes to Langarwalls and Safiwallas of SASB.

Earlier the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir through a powerpoint presentation informed the meeting about arrangements being put in placeby the departments. The Advisor, Chief Secretary along with otherofficers also visited Chandanwadi to take stock of the arrangements put inplace. They also visited main gate Chandanwadi and access point Chandanwadi.
