Army men open fire after noticing suspicious movement in Shopian, area cordoned off

An army patrol fired several shots in the air at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday afternoon.

A police official said that the army personnel fired severalshots in the air in Heff Shirmal village of the district after observing somesuspicious movement.

   

He said the patrol was passing through a vast farming landwhen the incident occurred.

The area, according to the official, was cordoned off andmore reinforcements were rushed to the spot.
