Day 2: Pulwama remains shut

Many areas in this south Kashmir district observed a shutdown for a second running  day on Sunday to mourn the recent killings of militants in the area.

Witnesses said shutdown was observed in Pulwama, Awantiporaand adjoining villages.

   

Four militants were killed in two separate armed encountersin Pulwama and Baramulla districts on Saturday. All were natives of Pulwamadistrict.Shops and other business establishments remainclosed in these areas while as public transport was off the roads to mourn themilitant killings.
