All educational institutions will remain closed in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today in view of a shootout and search operation in Arampora Teliyan mohalla.
“All schools and degree college Sopore falling under the municipal limits of Sopore will remain shut today as a precautionary measure,” read an order, issued by the ADC Sopore.
A brief exchange of fire took place between the militants and the forces early today during a search operation launched by the latter following inputs about the presence of militants.
Searches were going on when last reports came.
