The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai Monday flagged off environment awareness rally of students from Boys Higher Secondary Schools Budgam.
Chief Education Officers, Fatima Tak;District PCB Officer, Fiaz Ahmad; students and local youth were present on theoccasion.
Addressing the gathering, the DDC said toconserve ecology and environment every individual has to play role andcollective efforts from stake holders were need of the hour.
He said people should avoid litteringlanes, roads, surroundings, water bodies and public places and should say no tosingle use plastic. The DDC administered pledge to all participants to make themovement a success.
