The Inspector General of Police Kashmir, S P Pani, visited civil secretariat here on Saturday and reviewed the security arrangements made for the opening of Durbar Move offices here on Monday.
A police spokesman said that the IGP Kashmir was accompaniedby DIG CKR, SSP Srinagar and CRPF officers. They went around the civilsecretariat and inspected various security check-points established inside thesecretariat premises and Assembly complex.
He was briefed by the concerned territorial officers aboutvarious security measures adopted inside the secretariat premises for thesafety and security of employees working there.
He also interacted with the security force personnel postedat the secretariat. While appreciating their commitment towards the duties, theIGP Kashmir stressed on them to remain vigilant while discharging duties sothat the security of premises always remain intact. He also directed theofficials to ensure the common citizens visiting the secretariat for redressalof their grievances are allowed during the meeting hours fixed by theauthorities without putting them to any inconvenience.The IGP also reviewed the facilities availablefor the common citizens at the check-point. Moreover, he directed the officialsto duly follow the security protocols with due regard to decency and respect ofcommon citizens.
