Three policemen have so far been rescued from the site of an avalanche that buried a police post near Jawahar Tunnel last evening, official said on Friday.
Two among the trio were identified as Gulzar Ahmad and Ghulam Nabi.
Earlier police said on Twitter: “Rescue mission is on at JT #Kulgam.Two persons have been evacuated so far.”
An official said that strong winds and snow were hampering the rescue operation launched to rescue the ten missing persons which included six policemen, two fire service personnel and two prisoners.
He said that the searches are on to rescue the remaining trapped persons.
