Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Envosaviours- an IEC partner with support from PMSU and other IEC partners today organised an awareness program with school students of Lal Bazaar area.
SMC spokesperson in a statement said the event was held under “Vishesh Swachta Abiyan”, a15-day awareness campaign launched by SMC
The programme was chaired by Joint Commissioner Adm SMC SyedAbul Qasim. He was accompanied by senior officers of the Corporation includingChief Sanitation officer Syed Nisar.
He students of various schools including Lal Public HighSchool, Green Woods Public School and Government High School participated inthe event. After conducting several rounds of seminars, painting competitionsand singing, the event was followed by a rally organised by students, teachersand SMC officials focussing on source segregation and environment preservation.
