2nd batch of Iran-returned pilgrims reach back home in Ladakh

The second batch of225 Iran-returned pilgrims from Ladakh arrived back home on Wednesday in aspecial Indian Air Force (IAF) flight after undergoing quarantine in Jodhpur,officials said.

“The UT Admin is happy to announce arrival of second batch comprising 225Iran returnees from Jodhpur today. 208 belong to Kargil and 17 to Leh,” tweetedthe office of the Ladakh Divisional Commissioner and Secretary Saugat Biswas.

   

However, the officials said that all the pilgrims will be kept in quarantinefor 14 days as a precautionary measure.

Pertinently, thefirst batch of Iran-returned 57 pilgrims arrived in Kargil on Tuesday.
