A delegation of wholesale and retail dealers today called on Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, here.
During the meeting, the Advisor asked the association headsto advise their retailers to keep available essentials in the market at thealready fixed rates by the government.
The traders put forth various demands before the Advisor andsought their redressal. The Advisor assured them that their genuine demandswould be looked into.
He directed concerned to reconsider prices of certaincommodities in consultation with divisional administration after proper marketanalysis. Further, he informed the participants that IG traffic has alreadybeen advised for the resolution of Highway issues.
The meeting wasattended by Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, ControllerLegal Metrology, Representatives of Oil Companies besides the Wholesale andretail association representatives of Mutton, Poultry, Fish, Bakery andConfectionary.
