The District Magistrate Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has ordered imposition of strict restrictions across Srinagar district tomorrow on March 22.
The order states that no kind of public movement or activitywill be allowed anywhere in the district adding that only government officialsof essential services departments with valid IDs will be allowed to move.
Concerned agencies have been directed to ensure strictenforcement of restrictions across thedistrict.
The order issued under Section 144 of CrPC states that thedecision to impose restrictions has been taken as a preventive measure and areaimed at preventing spread of the coronavirus infection.
The DM has appealed to the general public to cooperate withthe administration and ensure strict adherence to the order. He said violationof the order would constitute criminal offence and attract strict penal action.
