Law of ‘Mukafat (retribution)’ holds in case of groups of people constituting an Ummah or a nation, as much as in case of individuals, as reveled in Holy Verses of Al-Quran, wherein it is noted that it is Allah (SwT) Who shall inherit the earth and all the beings and to Him will they return:
‘’It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned’’ [019.040] (Maryam/Mary)]
The Holy Verse denotes that mastery over earth and of all beings therein shall remain the preserve of Allah (SwT). The Holy Verse when read with the preceding Verses explains the context and significance of what is being related:
‘’ But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe’’ [019.039] (Maryam/Mary)]
Holy Quran holds such warning for transgression of divine laws time and again, such as warnings to Israelites/Beni Israel and to followers of Hazrat Isa (A.S) on evolving concepts, which were not in tune with divine norms.
Taking a historical view, ‘Law of Mukafat’ is seen holding in one epoch after another, such as the fall of Israelites after the majestic rule of Saul, David and Solomon (Hazrat Talut, Dawood and Suleiman) holding temporal power and spiritual sway over ‘United Kingdom of Israel’. This could be seen holding as Greeks—masters of logic in philosophy and sciences fell into an epoch of being slaves of Romans. And, the Greeks and Roman blend called Greco-Romans holding sway in Byzantine Empire with Christianity as the state religion after Emperor Constantin decreed it so, around 400 A.D.
‘Law of Mukafat’ followed as Byzantine Empire yielded power to resurgent Arabs after the advent of Islam. It dawned when the Christian overlords and Bishops of the Church handed over the keys of Jerusalem, the crown, and throne of Caesars (Hercules) to the dwellers of Arabian Desert, the nation of camel tenders. They inherited the role of chosen ones of Allah (SwT), assuming it as destined by the law established:[019.040] (Maryam [Mary].
