Prefer peace over politics

India has once again chosen the path of denial by rejecting the talks with Pakistan at the global level.  Prime minister of Pakistan has said that he is free to discuss every irritant between India on a negotiation table and India should have welcomed the offer and proceeded to resolve all the pending issues with Pakistan.

This should have been an opportunity for India to grab and end all the differences, if they want to live in an atmosphere of love, freedom and understanding with the neighbouring country. India has always expressed that Pakistan is the safe haven for terrorists. But, when Imran khan, the prime minister of Pakistan has openly stated that they are ready to discuss an issue including terrorisms as well the Indian side should have reciprocated positively.

This is the best time to resolve all the issues and disputes between the two countries including Kashmir.

In the context of South Asia both these countries have great names of fame. But India is not in such a position to have peaceful atmosphere for obvious reasons. One has never seen this positive approach of any Pakistan’s Prime Minister ever before.

This relationship based on hostility, hatred and ill will is not going to lead these countries anywhere. They have hurt the progressive prospects of these countries. India had to accept Pakistan’s invitation for engaging in a sustainable dialogue to have some breakthrough from their strained relationship. On this earth certain issues can only be solved through peace full means and sustainable dialogue.

Well, one can clearly see Indo-Pak relationship fallowing the same beaten track. One of the premier examples of this is dastard killing of Indian soldier. These types of shocking incidents will always haunt us, until and unless both the countries take concrete peace building measures.

History speaks that, they have fought wars in the past. What these wars have resulted into? Nothing is the gain but killing of innocent people and destruction of vital resources. Soldiers from both the sides are made the fodder to keep the flame of hostilities high.

India must shun this rigid approach. Let’s not blame Pakistan always. What option they have then to oblige. They invited their neighbours to talk and that is what can restore peace in the region. We wish better sense prevails everywhere and both countries live in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

If the general belief among the masses on this side of the border is believed to be a fact that Imran Khan is supported by the Army, that means you would have been talking to a person who has the mandate of Pak Army. We have seen in the past that dialogues have failed because of unwillingness of certain sections of people on both sides of the border in which Pakistan Army was first to be blamed. This moment provided the much needed backing to the peace process and it was apt to start now for Imran Khan was passionate about it and there had been no big irritants with new Prime Minister so far. Unless, BJP shuns its stubbornness, nothing positive can be expected. We hope that peace is given a chance and peace is preferred over politics.
