Srinagar, Nov 14: A soldier allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in J&K’s Rajouri district on Sunday.
According to news agency GNS, NK Deepak Singh belonging to elite Para unit of the army and posted with Romeo force in Rajouri district fired upon himself with AK-47 rifle at the unit where he was posted.
A police official confirming the incident told GNS that while investigation has been launched, it was not immediately known why the soldier took the extreme step.
