Srinagar, Oct 29: The trials for selecting J&K football team for Santosh Trophy National football tournament will start from Saturday at Gindun Ground Rajbagh here.
In the trials around 55 shortlisted players having been spotted from all over J&K have been called. The spotted players also include Under-21 players which is mandatory to be included in this year’s tournament.
“We have called in all those players spotted by our spotters, belonging to various teams and regions for the main trials. This year’s trials would be tricky as selectors need to keep in mind the Under-21 quota as well,” said a JKFA official.
“For the reason all the players who fall in the Under-21 category have been asked to come along with the original date of birth certificate. They have also been asked to come along with Covid Vaccination certificate,” official added.
