U-19 Women’s T20 Cricket League: J&K suffer 76-run loss against Chhattisgarh

J&K Under-19 women’s team suffered another crushing defeat in the ongoing Women’s Cricket Under-19 T20 League as they were defeated by Chhattisgarh Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on Tuesday.

Batting first, Chhattisgarh posted a total of 140 for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs. Manpreet Kaur with 68 was highest scorer for them while as Kriti Gupta scored 33. For J&K Sadiya Wani took two wickets while as Ronaq Jan and Iqra Rasool took one wicket each.

   

In reply J&K were never in hunt for successful chase as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and also the scoring rate was too low. In allotted 20 overs, J&K were able to score only 64 runs for the loss of four wickets. Sinika with 26 not out off 56 deliveries was the highest scorer for J&K while as Nancy Gill scored 13. For Chhattisgarh, Mamta Baghat took two wickets. 

Chhattisgarh won the match by 76 runs and bagged four points from match. 

It was fourth straight defeat for J&K in the event. Out of five matches played J&K has registered only one win.
