BJP to win over 50 seats: Raina

Poonch: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win more than 50 seats in upcoming assembly elections of Jammu & Kashmir. This was stated by J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina while addressing a public rally at Parade Ground in Poonch on Wednesday.

“BJP will also bag all the seats from Rajouri and Poonch. Massive gatherings indicate that the people in these two districts are supporting the party,” he maintained.

He stated that BJP was conducting rallies in the remotest parts of J&K and particularly in those regions which were left unattended, neglected by the parties like NC, PDP and Congress in the past 70 years.

Raina was accompanied by BJP J&K general secretary Vibodh Gupta, Mohammed Iqbal Malik, district president Mohammed Rafiq Chishti, ex-MLC Pradeep Sharma and Sunil Gupta besides other party leaders.

Raina said, “These parties (NC, PDP, Congress) misused communities like Gujjars, Bakarwals and others. But they are getting justice now from the BJP which is working hard to address all their issues. Our party is taking steps to provide justice to all communities including Paharis.”

“Modi government is taking care of everyone. The schemes of the Modi government like free ration, shelters, Kisan welfare schemes have benefitted every person, irrespective of his or her community,” Raina said. Vibodh Gupta said that masses had shown their confidence in the pragmatic policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central government whose efforts were augmented by the dedicated leaders and workers of J&K BJP.

Iqbal Malik reaffirmed that BJP would leave no stone unturned for the development of all the far flung areas of J&K. Chishti said that J&K was now progressing on the definitive lines of unprecedented development.
