The National Investigation Agency Tuesday said it didn’t examine Rizwan Assad Pandith of Awantipora, who died in police custody, in any militancy-related case.
“NIA emphatically denies reports linking NIA with Rizwan Ahmed (Rizwan Asad), a resident of Awantipora,” a spokesman of the probe agency said in a statement.
“He was neither called for questioning nor examined at any other location in connection with cases being investigated by the NIA,” the statement read.
