Srinagar, June 20: An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Sopore area of Baramulla district on late Sunday evening.
Police said the encounter started after hiding militants fired upon a joint search party at Gund Barth village of Seelo area in Sopore. “Intermittent firing is going on,” police said, adding that all exit and entrance points to the encounter site have been sealed.
