Jammu: As the winter schedule for air traffic has come into effect from December 1, the last departure from Jammu Airport would be at 6:50 pm, officials said. Even as the night flights were started at Jammu Airport from July this year, officials told Greater Kashmir that it “becomes difficult for the flights during the winter season due to low visibility especially at night”.
“The departure of the last flight is scheduled at 6:50 pm,” said the official. He said the last flight arrival at the airport is scheduled at 5:30 pm. It may be mentioned that during summer, the departure of the last flight takes place at 8:10 pm from Jammu airport.
The official said that the airport is well equipped to operate the flights but the weather conditions during winter plays a spoilsport. Normally, around 21 daily flights operate from the Jammu airport, he added.
