Srinagar: Congress President Sonia Gandhi Thursday approved the appointment of former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla as the working president of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC).
An order issued by All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary K C Venugopal said that Congress President Gandhi approved the proposal of the appointment of Raman Bhalla as working president of JKPCC with immediate effect.
Bhalla is considered to be a close aide of incumbent JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir.
