A middle-aged man was found dead in mysterious conditions along the Line of Control in Sair village of Nowshera in Rajouri district.
An official said on the condition of anonymity that autopsy of the deceased was conducted and his body has been kept at sub-district hospital Nowshera.
Pakistani currency notes, a pack of cigarettes and a small pack of tobacco powder was recovered from him, Nowshera additional superintendent of police Master Popsi said.
“The man probably is a resident of Pakistan administered Kashmir and he was probably trying to intrude into this side. Electrocution is suspected the cause of his death as some electric wires pass through the area,” the official said.
He said that the actual cause of death, however, will be clear after autopsy report. No identity card has been recovered from the possession of the deceased.
