Ramban: Two residential house suffered extensive damages in a fire at Batote market on Saturday.
Police said the fire broke out in the residential houses belonging to Shashi Pargal and Rajnish Pargal and spread to other adjoining house.
Soon after the incident locals, police and officials of Fire and Emergency Services Batote, Chenani and Ramban rushed to the spot to control the fire a. After hectic efforts the fire was brought under control however till then two houses completely damaged in this fire.
Fire and Emergency department said the cause is said to be electric short circuit. Later Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam along with officers inspected the site of the mishap.
Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildar Batote Mehboob Khan to submit immediately a loss assessment report so that the relief case can be processed as per norms. He assured fire victims every possible help from district administration.
The DC also interacted with the affected families.
