2 theft cases solved in Budgam, 2 arrested

Srinagar: Two theft cases were solved in Budgam by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime, Police said Sunday.

A statement of the J&K Police issued here said that Police also recovered stolen property on their disclosure.

   

The statement said that on 1st July 2021, Police Post Humhama received a written complaint about the theft of readymade garments in Hyderpora after which a case vide FIR No 190/2021 was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation started.

The statement said the Police raided the residential house of one Abdul Hameed Mir of Kumar MohallaRawalporaWaterihail and recovered stolen readymade garments worth of lakhs of rupees from his vehicle.

It said that the accused who was evading arrest was arrested on Sunday.

The statement said that on 22 June 2021 Police Post Humhama received a written complaint about the theft of LPG cylinders on 20 June 2021 at WazabaghHyderpora.

It said that a case vide FIR No 179/2021 was registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation started.

The statement said that Police arrested the accused Mukhtar Ahmad Dar of FrastabalPampore. It said that on his disclosure, Police recoverer six LPG cylinders from his residence.
