Ganderbal, June 13: Police in Ganderbal have arrested 02 timber smugglers and seized illicit timber.
In a statement police said, a police party from Police Station Lar led by SHO PS Lar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal at a checkpoint established at Benhama Crossing intercepted a vehicle (Tata Mobile) bearing registration number JK01T-4087 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Sulaiman Khan resident of Nunnar & Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rahim Wani resident of Badergund Ganderbal. During search of the vehicle illicit timber logs have been seized.”
