Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Anantnag and Baramulla. Huge cache of contraband substances was recovered from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He added that officers from Police Station Bijbehara at a checkpoint arrested three drug peddlers. They were identified as Mehraj Ahmad Sheikh of Dalgate Srinagar, Mohammad Altaf Baluki of Rainawari Srinagar and Rayees Ahmad Lone of Prichal Pulwama. Officers recovered 12 kgs of Charas powder from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station.
In Baramulla, during routine patrolling at Yadipora Pattan a police party arrested a drug peddler identified as Laldin Poswal of Warnow Lolab Kupwara and recovered 16 strips (172 tablets) of banned drugs from his possession. He was arrested.
